CAMPUS CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL
East Asia - David and Jen Schorr, smmckemie@hotmail.com

CHRIST FOR THE CITY
Costa Rica - Susan Grosser and Sarita Bautista, sagbx2@racsa.co.cr
Susan is a registered nurse from New Jersey serving as a missionary in Costa Rica for 34 years. Sarita is a trained teacher from Colombia and has been teamed with Susan for all those years. Susan has a medical outreach, and Sarita holds classes for large numbers of children who otherwise would have no schooling at all. They both lead Bible studies all over the communities of Pavas and Carpio as well. They are like guardian angels, and are known by everyone in the area. A growing church has been established at Pavas, and a new medical clinic building has been opened at Carpio, also a new activity center for young people.

CHRISTIAN AID MISSION
India - Bhanu Johnson Christudas and Omana, lightforindia@hotmail.com
Bhanu Johnson Christudas, a native of India, has dedicated his life to training Indian nationals for Christian evangelism. In June 1994, he and his wife Omana, opened the Light for India Bible College near Trivandrum, Kerala, on the southern tip of India. The state of Orissa, northeast on the Bay of Bengal, is the focus of evangelism. Light for India sends graduates there to preach in the villages and to begin house churches. Chris and Omana lead two separate training programs for young men and young women preparing to serve full time.

EAST WEST MISSIONARY SERVICE
Pacific Islands - Wes and Suzie Brenneman, wesnsuz@ihug.co.nz
Wes, who grew up right here in the church, coordinates the Pacific Islands national ministries including Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Guam, and New Caledonia. Suzie also travels with Wes in an active ministry of evangelism and discipleship. One goal is to cooperate with churches to show the JESUS video throughout the islands. Wes and Suzie are helping Papua New Guinea train teachers for a Bible-based abstinence program in the public schools. Their son and daughter, both grown, also serve full-time with Campus Crusade for Christ.

GLOBAL OUTREACH MISSION
Republic of Ireland - Kathy and Larry Dunne, lkdunne@eircom.net
The mission field is the Republic of Ireland. Although there is freedom of religion, most of the people are Catholic, and look on Protestants as a false cult. So the first goal is to break down prejudice through getting involved in community life, making friends, and finding hungry hearts. Bible studies follow, and finally lead to the establishment of local, Irish-led churches. Larry is a native of Ireland. Kathy is from Orange and her parents are Mike and Beverly Oakland.

IRIS MINISTRIES
Mozambique, Africa - Rolland and Heidi Baker, rolland@irismin.org
Mozambique, Africa has been declared to be the poorest country in the world. It is located at the "toe off the boot", above South Africa. Years of war and natural calamities have left thousands of children orphaned, living on the city streets and even the city dumps. In the midst of crises, setbacks and heartaches, the Bakers and their co-workers (both local and volunteers from abroad) establish orphanages that are reaching thousands of children. They also have Bible school programs that train large groups of young pastors from neighboring regions in southern Africa.

MISSION TO THE WORLD
Pakistan - (name withheld for security purposes)
Husband and wife are both Pakistani nationals, working as missionaries to their own people. They are very much endangered in the work they are doing. The couple provides courageous Christian witness in a private setting, conducting Bible meetings in their home, and sharing Christian literature. Muslim persecution in this country is intense and unpredictable. Ostensibly the government boasts a freedom of religion, while at the same time forbidding, as a capital offense, any sharing of faith other than that of Mohamed. Radical Muslims regularly terrorize Christians, and new converts suffer enormously. In spite of all this, new believers are coming to Christ all the time, through the efforts of this fine couple.

NEW HOPE INTERNATIONAL
Eastern Europe - Hank and Mona Paulson
Hank grew up in Holland, and started working behind the Iron Curtain in 1968 delivering Bibles and Christian books to believers. Since the fall of Communism, his burden has been to train the national Christians to lead the work themselves. His New Hope Teams are being cultivated in Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Moldova and Ukraine. His home base and family are in Colorado, and he takes teams into these countries many times a year to lead camps, train, introduce materials, and encourage the national leaders in those countries.

Romania - Rei and Ramona Abrudan, newhope@mail.soroscj.ro
Both Rei and Ramona met Christ as Savior as teen-agers in Romania attending Christian youth comps. Now they work with hundreds of children and youth, as well as training leaders and workers and preparing curriculum for them to use. Each summer Rei orchestrates multiple summer camps, each with its own emphasis. Ramona does counseling among hurting teens, and teaches religion in the public and private schools. A Christian based sex education program has eagerly been accepted in the public high schools.

Czech Republic - Jaroslav and Alena Kratka, jaroslav.kratka@novanadeje.cz, new.hope@brn.pvtnet.cz, vviartce@aol.com
Since the fall of Communism they have seen a profound change of attitude in the responsibility of people toward their own nation. Christians are becoming involved in the schools and public groups, and are learning to pray with hope for the needs of their nation. The New Hope teams seek to encourage and equip the churches to reach out to the youth of their nation. Jaroslav helps with leadership development and training, and leads a dynamic radio ministry with a tremendous reach.

OC INTERNATIONAL
Germany - Ed and Dorothy Moehl, edmoehl@freenet.de
Dorothy and Ed work within the German state church, which is largely liberal, encouraging and working with those who are evangelical pastors. Ed was born and grew up in Germany, while Dorothy was born in Communist China and grew up in Taiwan as the daughter of missionaries Dick and Flo Webster. They live in the Black Forest region and helped to establish the new Grapeland Church there in October 2000. This church as been given official status within the German state church, has more contemporary services and is developing a strong youth program. Ed works with the Confirmation classes and teaches the Alpha Course for adults unfamiliar with the gospel.

RELEASED TIME CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Orange Unified School District - Valerie Via
Released Time Christian Education is in its 51st year of providing quality Bible Study for 4th and 5th graders. Over 1,000 students are enrolled each year and for many this is their only Bible study. Classes are 40 minutes long, held once a week in mobile classrooms called "Chapels-On-Wheels". Twenty-two schools are reached in this program. Each year a brand new Bible is given to every child who participates.

SYSTEMATIC ASIAN LEADERSHIP TRAINING
East Asia - (name withheld for security purposes)
This family resides in Hong Kong. Monthly trips are made into Communist China to conduct training sessions for the pastors and evangelists of the much-persecuted "house-churches." Bible study materials are provided in Mandarin for national Christian leaders. In spite of intense and continued persecution, the underground church in China continues to grow by thousands every day. Most "house-church" leaders have never had an opportunity to attend Seminary or receive formal Biblical training. This missionary, along with national co-workers, takes great risks to bring this valuable training to thousands of underground pastors in Communist China.
