A New Allegiance

Back in the late 1980’ s, in Western Europe, there was a brief period of time when the most exciting thing you could see was a defaced bumper sticker, of all things.    You could see them all over the place—so I am told—but especially in West Germany.

Back in the fall of 1989, when that horri- ble Berlin W all came crash- ing down—thank goodness! are you as grateful as I amfor that?—and the East German government that came tumbling down with it—that horrible collection of dinosaurs! “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

It is good for us to know that we love God and that God loves us, and to have a real call from God to labor for Him. My wife and I have experienced our first “earthquake” and “tidal wave” in our lives after 42 years of laboring in the Indian work. My wife became ill with what we thought was the flu and treated as such. Read more…
