C3 BIO Meeting Draws a Crowd

C3 BIO Taking Shape

On Thursday evening, March 31, more than a dozen people showed up for the C3 BIO information meeting. Ron Kays and Paul Rygalski presented a detailed overview of the administrative concept, and discussed how individual roles might work within the BIO framework. The presentation was followed by a robust Q&A session where the group discussed practical matters related to church administration. It was exciting to see the enthusiasm of the people in the room, and to hear their thoughtful input and questions. All of these things bode well for the ongoing development and implementation of C3 BIO.

The next step for attendees is submission of an Information Sheet indicating their areas of interest within the BIO organization. If you were unable to attend the meeting, or merely want to follow C3 BIO happenings, request the C3 BIO Purpose, Roles & Requirements document.

It is anticipated that C3 BIO will be partially or fully operational at Covenant Community Church by the beginning of Summer. We’re excited about that.

Thank you.

C3 Business Information Organization (C3 BIO) Information Meeting

If you indicated interest in knowing more about C3 BIO and are considering serving in this area, an information meeting will be held Thursday, March 31 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

With Session oversight, C3 BIO will organize and manage the church’s day-to-day project activities, and will help integrate the budget with project efforts. The BIO also will be responsible for preparing data and reports to facilitate Session decision-making. Finally, C3 BIO will keep the congregation informed about relevant issues in the life of the church.

The leadership team continues to refine BIO roles and functions. Ultimately, those who serve in C3 BIO will be an important part of this ongoing effort. We’re excited about the practical strengths this group may add to the church Christ is building on Maple and Waverly in Orange.

Introducing the C3 Business Information Organization

The Session is adopting a new model for organizing everyday business processes. We’re calling it C3 BIO, which stands for “C3 Business Information Organization”.

The C3 BIO model organizes church business processes into three broad categories. We’re calling them:

  • Budgets and Finance
  • Project Management
  • Congregational Relations

Working with the Session, these groups will organize and manage the church’s day-to-day project activities—things like the recently built handicap ramps and newly installed telephone system. They’ll also be responsible for communicating to the congregation and Session timely information on relevant matters.

We’re in the start-up phase in terms of defining how these groups should be structured and operate. That’s where you come in:

If you have practical experience or knowledge in one or more of the areas mentioned—and if you’re interested in finding out more about how you might be able to help—we’d love to hear from you.

To express interest or find out more, please call:

Ron Kays 714.639.8786 or 714.292.5187
Paul Rygalski 714.921.0602 or 714.719.7859

In the latter part of February or early March, there will be an informational meeting to present in greater detail what we hope to accomplish with C3 BIO. Check back for date and time.

We hope to see you there.
