Our weekly gathering at the “Library” is meeting faithfully in spite of the law and order situation in our city. However, one of our main study groups has stopped their meeting and we trust they will resume in a couple weeks time. Do join us in prayers for different home groups to grow in their knowledge and understanding, and for new groups to begin in 2010. Pray for new leaders to take their

Such Radically Different Lives

I read about something interesting that happened at the funeral of David Livingstone: the great 19th Century missionary who inspired all the world by pouring his life into the darkest recesses and jungles of Africa.
They say it was one of the biggest funeral processions London ever had; which is incredible, considering how many Kings and Queens have passed through town on their way to eternal abode.
But something happened in the crowd that day that disrupted the great procession for a moment. A sad, shabbily dressed tramp started pushing and shoving his way through the crowd. He wanted to be right out in front when Livingstone’s hearse came by, and he was not about to take ‘no’ for an answer. Read more…
